Section 6. Denominational Authorities. The Church is a self-governing, autonomous spiritual and legal entity. The Church may, at various times, choose to associate with religious denominations or associations. By participation or membership in a denomination, the Church does not relinquish any of its self-governance.

Motion: The elders recommend to the congregation that South Cities Church affiliate with the Evangelical Free Church of America by amending Article 1, Section 6 of our bylaws as follows, contingent upon an affirmative vote at the North Central District Conference:

South Cities Church is a member of the North Central District of the Evangelical Free Church of America, and adopts the EFCA statement of faith, which is incorporated herein by reference, alongside the Elder Affirmation of Faith and the Congregational Affirmation of Faith.
